Patrick is the founder of Infusion Distribution, as well as having several other coffee businesses and partnerships. With his many certifications and years of experience, his love and passion for coffee fuel his drive to help other businesses create exceptional beverage experiences.
Patrick was born in Tucson and raised in the small yet cultural town of Bisbee, Arizona. His journey began when he ventured out into the world, with his sights initially set on using his developed palate for a winemaking career, but changing course when a job in Hawaii introduced him to the art and science of coffee production. In 1989, Patrick opened his first coffee business that specialized in the sale and repair of espresso machines. His passion didn’t stop there though, as Patrick also began roasting coffee and curating teas, which led to the creation of Infusion Distribution (formerly Espresso Italia) in 1998.
Always in pursuit of honing his craft, Patrick underwent years of training and became only the 43rd person in the world to receive a Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Diploma in 2010. Two years later, members of the SCA asked him to train others in the art of specialty coffee. So, Patrick founded the International Barista & Coffee Academy in 2012. Inspired by the same passion to share the joy of quality coffee and tea, shortly after in 2015, the doors to Infusion Coffee & Tea Crafters opened. The cafe shares space with IBCA so that guests can witness grading and testing in the lab and even watch the roasting process that went into the cup of coffee they are drinking.
Patrick has since received the SCA Trainer of the Year award, the SCA Distinguished Education Coordinator Award, and the Passionate Educator Award from the Specialty Coffee Guild. He now travels internationally to teach with IBCA, judge coffee competitions, lead coffee enthusiasts to the source on coffee voyages with 3 Coffee Guys, consult on research and development with Sanremo Coffee Machines, and film a coffee documentary.

Matthew (aka Matty)
Matthew has been with EI since 2005. He is the lead technician and hands down the best coffee machine technician in Arizona. There isn't a machine around that Matthew cannot fix.

Betsy (aka Jefita)
Betsy has been with EI since 2015. She is the boss of the office; Betsy keeps the office running, and the team organized.

Paul (aka Pablo)
Paul has been with EI since 2016. He is our head roaster, green coffee buyer, and quality control manager. Paul is also a Licensed Q Grader.

Miguel (aka Gonzo)
Gonzo is the Jefe Del Bodega. He has been with EI since 2017. Gonzo is the jack of all trades, head of cold brew, warehouse manager, fixer of anything, and builder of everything.

Ray (aka Rrraaay)
Ray is the face of the company. Ray has been with EI since 2018. He is our main delivery driver and manager of customer relationships.

Jesse is our lead production roaster and master of music. Jesse has been with EI since 2021.

Devin (aka Bug)
Devin has been with EI since the day of her birth. Devin is our corporate trainer, web manager, and helper of her Papa, Patrick.

Brian (aka Moutain Man)
Brian is our newest team member. He has been with EI since August 2022. Brian is talented and skilled with his hands and is now a part of our technical team.

Davide has been with us since 2020. He is our master of packaging and coffee fanatic.

Brian
Brian is a grad student in sustainability at ASU and our Production Assistant Roaster. Came to us asking to work with us in any capacity to further his knowledge of coffee. As a coffee fanatic Brian loves to brew and roast at home, now he gets to roast on professional roasting machines increasing his knowledge and love for coffee.

Alexis comes to us with a strong background in customer service, support, and office organization skills. She is a great addition to our customer support team.

Alejandra
Alejandra has been in love with coffee and specialty coffee for many years! She has been involved with several cafes in Mexico with social media and marketing, and she has a Master’s Degree in Humanities. Alejandra is our packaging and lab trainee, and content assistant for social media.
